INTRODUCED AS NONCONTROVERSIAL RESOLUTION UNDER RULE 35, JUNE 4, 2010  

A RESOLUTION

Designating the month of June 2010 as "Twilight Wish Foundation

Month" in Pennsylvania.

WHEREAS, Through wish granting and group celebrations,

Twilight Wish Foundation enriches the lives of senior citizens

who have served others; and

WHEREAS, Twilight Wish Foundation promotes senior charities

and multigenerational education while working to fulfill the

individual wishes of qualifying senior citizens 68 years of age

and older; and

WHEREAS, Twilight Wish Foundation has granted more than 750

individual wishes and has sponsored numerous group celebrations

since its inception in July 2003; and

WHEREAS, Cass Forkin founded the nonprofit Twilight Wish

Foundation in Doylestown, Bucks County; and

WHEREAS, Qualifying individuals, including persons who live

independently, must have a demonstrated financial need, a

documented history of positive contributions to others and the

ability to formulate, communicate and experience their wish; and

WHEREAS, Through gifts, grants, sponsorships and

extraordinary volunteer efforts, Twilight Wish Foundation has

expanded into several states; and

WHEREAS, Twilight Wish Foundation's long-term goals include

national and international expansion; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives designate the

month of June 2010 as "Twilight Wish Foundation Month" in

Pennsylvania with gratitude for the foundation's work in

granting wishes and bridging generational divides in this

Commonwealth and beyond.
