| AN ACT |
| |
1 | Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated |
2 | Statutes, further providing for unattended motor vehicle. |
3 | The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania |
4 | hereby enacts as follows: |
5 | Section 1. Section 3701 of Title 75 of the Pennsylvania |
6 | Consolidated Statutes is amended by adding a subsection to read: |
7 | § 3701. Unattended motor vehicle. |

9 | (a.1) Remote starting device.--Notwithstanding subsection |
10 | (a), a person driving or in charge of a motor vehicle equipped |
11 | with a remote starting device may permit the motor vehicle to |
12 | stand unattended provided its doors remain locked while |
13 | unattended. |

15 | Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days. |
