| AN ACT |
| |
1 | Amending Title 4 (Amusements) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated |
2 | Statutes, further providing for table game authorization fee. |
3 | The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania |
4 | hereby enacts as follows: |
5 | Section 1. Section 13A61(a) of Title 4 of the Pennsylvania |
6 | Consolidated Statutes, added January 7, 2010 (P.L.1, No.1), is |
7 | amended to read: |
8 | § 13A61. Table game authorization fee. |
9 | (a) Amount of authorization fee.-- |
10 | (1) A Category 1 or a Category 2 slot machine licensee |
11 | that submits a petition for a table game operation |
12 | certificate under section 13A12 (relating to petition |
13 | requirements) on or before June 1, 2010, shall pay a one-time |
14 | nonrefundable authorization fee in the amount of |
15 | [$16,500,000] $35,000,000. A Category 1 or a Category 2 slot |
16 | machine licensee that submits a petition for a table game |
17 | operation certificate under section 13A12 after June 1, 2010, |

1 | shall pay a one-time nonrefundable authorization fee in the |
2 | amount of [$24,750,000] $52,500,000. |
3 | (2) A Category 3 slot machine licensee that submits a |
4 | petition for a table game operation certificate under section |
5 | 13A12 on or before June 1, 2010, shall pay a one-time |
6 | nonrefundable authorization fee in the amount of [$7,500,000] |
7 | $15,750,000. A Category 3 slot machine licensee that submits |
8 | a petition for a table game operation certificate under |
9 | section 13A12 after June 1, 2010, shall pay a one-time |
10 | nonrefundable authorization fee in the amount of |
11 | [$11,250,000] $23,625,000. |
12 | (3) Notwithstanding paragraphs (1) and (2), the holder |
13 | of a Category 1 or Category 3 slot machine license issued |
14 | after June 1, 2010, that submits a petition for a table game |
15 | operation certificate shall pay a one-time nonrefundable |
16 | authorization fee in the amount of [$16,500,000 or |
17 | $7,500,000] $35,000,000 or $15,750,000, respectively. |
18 | (4) A table game operation certificate shall not be |
19 | subject to renewal or payment of an additional authorization |
20 | fee. |
