| AN ACT |
| |
1 | Amending Title 18 (Crimes and Offenses) of the Pennsylvania |
2 | Consolidated Statutes, further providing for the offense of |
3 | recklessly endangering another person. |
4 | The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania |
5 | hereby enacts as follows: |
6 | Section 1. Section 2705 of Title 18 of the Pennsylvania |
7 | Consolidated Statutes is amended to read: |
8 | § 2705. Recklessly endangering another person. |
9 | A person commits a misdemeanor of the second degree if [he |
10 | recklessly] the person: |
11 | (1) Recklessly engages in conduct which places or may |
12 | place another person in danger of death or serious bodily |
13 | injury. |
14 | (2) Is: |
15 | (i) an operator of a motor vehicle who knowingly |
16 | maneuvers the vehicle to intimidate or harass a |
17 | pedestrian or pedalcyclist; or |
18 | (ii) an operator or occupant of a motor vehicle who |

1 | knowingly directs threatening gestures or language at a |
2 | pedestrian or pedalcyclist on a highway. |
3 | Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days. |
