Amending Title 18 (Crimes and Offenses) of the Pennsylvania
Consolidated Statutes, further providing for the offense of
recklessly endangering another person.
The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
hereby enacts as follows:
Section 1. Section 2705 of Title 18 of the Pennsylvania
Consolidated Statutes is amended to read:
§ 2705. Recklessly endangering another person.
A person commits a misdemeanor of the second degree if [he
recklessly] the person:
(1) Recklessly engages in conduct which places or may
place another person in danger of death or serious bodily
(i) an operator of a motor vehicle who knowingly
maneuvers the vehicle to intimidate or harass a
pedestrian or pedalcyclist; or
(ii) an operator or occupant of a motor vehicle who
knowingly directs threatening gestures or language at a
pedestrian or pedalcyclist on a highway.
Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
