| AN ACT |
| |
1 | Amending Title 66 (Public Utilities) of the Pennsylvania |
2 | Consolidated Statutes, in services and facilities, providing |
3 | for electricity supplied to seasonal businesses. |
4 | The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania |
5 | hereby enacts as follows: |
6 | Section 1. Title 66 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated |
7 | Statutes is amended by adding a section to read: |
8 | § 1512. Electricity supplied to seasonal businesses. |
9 | (a) Limitation on charges.--If a customer of a seasonal |
10 | business has not requested that electric service be disconnected |
11 | during any period of nonuse of the seasonal business and there |
12 | is no usage of the electric service during that period, a public |
13 | utility company supplying electric service to the customer may |
14 | not impose a monthly fee during the period of nonuse that |
15 | exceeds $25 per month. |
16 | (b) Definition.--For purposes of this section, "seasonal |
17 | business" means a campground, ski resort, amusement park, fair |
18 | ground, hunting camp, recreational park, community pool, sport |

2 | Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days. |
