AN ACT
1 Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
2 Statutes, further providing for required financial
3 responsibility.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Section 1786(e) of Title 75 of the Pennsylvania
7 Consolidated Statutes is amended by adding a paragraph to read:
8 § 1786. Required financial responsibility.

10 (e) Obligations upon lapse, termination or cancellation of
11 financial responsibility.--

13 (6) An insurer who has rescinded coverage for a contract
14 of motor vehicle liability insurance because they have been
15 paid with a bad check shall notify the department that the
16 contract for liability coverage is no longer valid.

18 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
