                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending Title 34 (Game) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
     2     Statutes, further providing for classes of licenses and for
     3     license costs and fees.

     4     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     5  hereby enacts as follows:
     6     Section 1.  Section 2705 of Title 34 of the Pennsylvania
     7  Consolidated Statutes is amended by adding a paragraph to read:
     8  § 2705.  Classes of licenses.
     9     Unless otherwise provided, any person wishing to exercise any
    10  of the privileges granted by this title shall first secure the
    11  applicable resident or nonresident hunting or furtaker license
    12  as follows:
    13         * * *
    14         (2.1)  Junior first-time hunting licenses to residents
    15     who have reached or will reach their 12th birthday in the
    16     calendar year of application for a license but who have not
    17     reached their 17th birthday prior to the date of application
    18     for the license and who are making their initial application

     1     for a license under this title. An applicant for a license
     2     under this paragraph shall present a written request,
     3     containing the signature of a parent or guardian, for the
     4     issuance of the license. The actual privileges granted to the
     5     holder of a junior first-time license shall not be exercised
     6     until that person in fact is 12 years of age.

     8     Section 2.  Section 2709(a)(1) of Title 34 is amended to
     9  read:
    10  § 2709.  License costs and fees.
    11     (a)  License costs.--Any person who qualifies under the
    12  provisions of this chapter shall be issued the applicable
    13  license upon payment of the following costs and the issuing
    14  agent's fee:
    15         (1)  (i)  Junior resident hunting - $5.
    16             (ii)  Junior resident combination hunting and
    17         furtaker - $8.
    18             (iii)  Junior first-time resident hunting - issuing
    19         agent fee only.

    21     Section 3.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
