           ROBBINS, BOSCOLA, GORDNER, TOMLINSON, ERICKSON, KASUNIC,
           EARLL, FOLMER, PIPPY, RAFFERTY, PICCOLA, REGOLA AND
           WONDERLING, APRIL 2, 2007

        REFERRED TO STATE GOVERNMENT, APRIL 2, 2007

                                     AN ACT

     1  Requiring the posting of certain State salary information on the
     2     Internet.

     3     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     4  hereby enacts as follows:
     5  Section 1.  Short title.
     6     This act shall be known and may be cited as the State Salary
     7  Information Act.
     8  Section 2.  Online posting of salaries.
     9     The State Treasurer shall post on an official Internet
    10  website, and update on a monthly basis, the following
    11  information concerning the officers and employees described in
    12  section 3:
    13         (1)  Name.
    14         (2)  Title.
    15         (3)  Agency, department or other institution.
    16         (4)  Annual salary rate or other rate of compensation.
    17         (5)  Supplemental payments other than payments for unused

     1     vacation or unused sick leave.
     2  Section 3.  Applicability.
     3     (a)  General rule.--The provisions of section 2 shall apply
     4  to all officers and employees of the Commonwealth, whether of
     5  the Executive, Legislative or Judicial branch of the government.
     6     (b)  Legislative employees.--For each officer or employee of
     7  the Senate and the House of Representatives, in addition to the
     8  information required by section 2, the State Treasurer shall
     9  separately indicate whether the officer or employee is paid with
    10  funds controlled by the majority caucus, funds controlled by the
    11  minority caucus or funds appropriated to compensate the staff of
    12  the officers elected by the Senate or the House of
    13  Representatives.
    14  Section 4.  Effective date.
    15     This act shall take effect July 1, 2007, or immediately,
    16  whichever is later.
