                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending Title 34 (Game) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
     2     Statutes, permitting use of dogs in hunting for wild turkeys.

     3     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     4  hereby enacts as follows:
     5     Section 1.  Section 2383 of Title 34 of the Pennsylvania
     6  Consolidated Statutes is amended to read:
     7  § 2383.  Dogs pursuing, injuring or killing big game.
     8     [It] (a)  General rule.--Except as provided in subsection
     9  (b), it is unlawful for any person to make use of a dog in any
    10  manner to hunt for or to take big game or to permit a dog owned,
    11  controlled or harbored by that person to pursue, harass, chase,
    12  scatter, injure or make use of a dog to kill any big game.
    13     (b)  Exception.--It shall be lawful to make use of a dog to
    14  pursue, chase, scatter and track wild turkeys during the fall
    15  wild turkey season.
    16     Section 2.  This act shall take effect immediately.
