        INTRODUCED AS NONCONTROVERSIAL RESOLUTION UNDER RULE 35,
           SEPTEMBER 15, 2008

                                  A RESOLUTION

     1  Honoring the life and extending condolences for the supreme
     2     sacrifice of Private First Class James Michael Yohn of the
     3     United States Army, who valiantly lost his life while in
     4     brave service to our country in Iraq on June 25, 2008.

     5     WHEREAS, Private First Class James Michael Yohn was killed in
     6  Iraq by an improvised explosive device; and
     7     WHEREAS, PFC Yohn of Highspire, Dauphin County, faithfully
     8  served as a volunteer firefighter for eight years with the
     9  Highspire Fire Department, Engine 55-1; and
    10     WHEREAS, PFC Yohn enlisted in the United States Army in 2006,


     1  attended basic training in Ft. Knox, Kentucky, and was stationed
     2  in Ft. Hood, Texas, before being deployed on his first tour in
     3  Iraq; and
     4     WHEREAS, PFC Yohn, who was 25 years of age, enjoyed fishing,
     5  loved to make people laugh and loved to ride on Highspire Fire
     6  Department Engine 55-1; and
     7     WHEREAS, PFC Yohn is survived by his wife, Amber, their
     8  infant son, James Michael Yohn, Jr., mother, Judith Yohn, father
     9  and stepmother, Robert and Julia Fisher, brothers Leroy Yohn,
    10  Bobby Fisher and Specialist Tracy Seidel; therefore be it
    11     RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives honor the life
    12  and extend condolences for the supreme sacrifice of Private
    13  First Class James Michael Yohn who tragically lost his life on
    14  June 25, 2008, in Iraq, while in the brave service of our
    15  country; and be it further
    16     RESOLVED, That copies of this resolution be transmitted to
    17  the family of Private First Class James Michael Yohn.
