A RESOLUTION
1 Commending St. John's United Church of Christ and other groups
2 and volunteers in Coopersburg Borough, Lehigh County, on the
3 success of their community outreach benefit efforts.
4 WHEREAS, St. John's United Church of Christ in Coopersburg
5 Borough, Lehigh County, held its sixth annual community outreach
6 benefit on July 29, 2007, which involved seven other churches
7 and church groups and the efforts of 200 volunteers; and
8 WHEREAS, To date, the event has raised and distributed more
9 than $180,000 in assistance to residents throughout the Southern
10 Lehigh County and Upper Bucks County regions, including more
11 than $56,000 to families of seriously ill children; and
12 WHEREAS, The event has the support of scores of businesses in
13 the region and is a commendable example of collective community
14 support for charitable service in this Commonwealth; therefore
15 be it
16 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives commend St.
17 John's United Church of Christ and other groups and volunteers
18 in Coopersburg Borough, Lehigh County, on the success of their
1 community outreach benefit efforts.
