        INTRODUCED AS NONCONTROVERSIAL RESOLUTION UNDER RULE 35,
           OCTOBER 15, 2007

                                  A RESOLUTION

     1  Honoring the life and extending condolences for the supreme
     2     sacrifice of Private First Class Zachary Clouser, United
     3     States Army, who tragically lost his life in service to our
     4     country in Iraq on July 18, 2007.

     5     WHEREAS, Pfc. Clouser, a resident of York County, graduated
     6  from Dover Area High School in 2005; and
     7     WHEREAS, Pfc. Clouser enlisted in the United States Army and
     8  was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 26th Infantry, 2nd Brigade
     9  Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division; and
    10     WHEREAS, The vehicle in which Pfc. Clouser was riding was
    11  attacked by small arms fire and with an explosive device in the

     1  town of Adhamiyah, Iraq, shortly before his 20th birthday and
     2  shortly before his transfer home; and
     3     WHEREAS, Pfc. Clouser and three of his fellow United States
     4  soldiers died on July 18, 2007; and
     5     WHEREAS, Pfc. Clouser is survived by his parents, Kevin
     6  Clouser and Deb Etheridge; therefore be it
     7     RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives honor the life
     8  and extend condolences for the supreme sacrifice of Private
     9  First Class Zachary Clouser, United States Army, who tragically
    10  lost his life in service to our country in Iraq on July 18,
    11  2007; and be it further
    12     RESOLVED, That copies of this resolution be transmitted to
    13  Kevin Clouser and Deb Etheridge.
