        INTRODUCED AS NONCONTROVERSIAL RESOLUTION UNDER RULE 35,
           MAY 23, 2007

                                  A RESOLUTION

     1  Designating the month of June 2007 as "Twilight Wish Foundation
     2     Month" in Pennsylvania.

     3     WHEREAS, Through wish granting and group celebrations,
     4  Twilight Wish Foundation enriches the lives of senior citizens
     5  who have served others; and
     6     WHEREAS, Twilight Wish Foundation promotes senior charities
     7  and multigenerational education while working to fulfill the
     8  individual wishes of qualifying senior citizens 68 years of age
     9  and older; and
    10     WHEREAS, Twilight Wish Foundation has granted more than 750
    11  individual wishes and has sponsored numerous group celebrations
    12  since its inception in July 2003; and
    13     WHEREAS, Cass Forkin founded the nonprofit Twilight Wish

     1  Foundation in Doylestown, Bucks County; and
     2     WHEREAS, Qualifying individuals, including persons who live
     3  independently, must have a demonstrated financial need, a
     4  documented history of positive contributions to others and the
     5  ability to formulate, communicate and experience their wish; and
     6     WHEREAS, Through gifts, grants, sponsorships and
     7  extraordinary volunteer efforts, Twilight Wish Foundation has
     8  expanded into several states; and
     9     WHEREAS, Twilight Wish Foundation's long-term goals include
    10  national and international expansion; therefore be it
    11     RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives designate the
    12  month of June 2007 as "Twilight Wish Foundation Month" in
    13  Pennsylvania with gratitude for the foundation's work in
    14  granting wishes and bridging generational divides in this
    15  Commonwealth and beyond.
