        INTRODUCED AS NONCONTROVERSIAL RESOLUTION UNDER RULE 35,
           MAY 8, 2007

                                  A RESOLUTION

     1  Commemorating the sixth anniversary of the Educational
     2     Improvement Tax Credit.

     3     WHEREAS, The Educational Improvement Tax Credit has provided
     4  educational help for tens of thousands of Pennsylvania students
     5  during the past six years; and
     6     WHEREAS, For the current school year, more than 33,000
     7  students benefited from Educational Improvement Tax Credit
     8  scholarships; and
     9     WHEREAS, More than $240 million has been contributed to
    10  eligible Educational Improvement Tax Credit organizations by
    11  more than 2,200 businesses since the program began in 2001;
    12  therefore be it
    13     RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives commemorate the
    14  sixth anniversary of the Educational Improvement Tax Credit on
    15  May 8, 2007.
