        REFERRED TO COMMITTEE ON TRANSPORTATION, SEPTEMBER 23, 2008

                                     AN ACT

     1  Designating the bridge on State Route 6 over Potato Creek at
     2     Smethport, McKean County, as the POW/MIA Memorial Bridge; and
     3     designating State Route 120 in the Borough of Emporium as
     4     General Joseph T. McNarney Boulevard.

     5     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     6  hereby enacts as follows:
     7  Section 1.  POW/MIA Memorial Bridge.
     8     (a)  Designation.--The bridge on State Route 6 over Potato
     9  Creek in the Borough of Smethport, McKean County, is hereby
    10  designated as the POW/MIA Memorial Bridge.
    11     (b)  Signs.--The Department of Transportation shall erect and
    12  maintain appropriate signs at each end of the bridge displaying
    13  the name of the bridge.
    14  Section 2.  General Joseph T. McNarney Boulevard.
    15     (a)  Designation.--The section of State Route 120 through the
    16  borough of Emporium, Cameron County, beginning at State Route

     1  120, Segment 0220, offset 08882 to State Route 120, Segment
     2  0260, offset 0585 for a total length of 7,375 feet or 1.4 miles
     3  is hereby designated as the General Joseph T. McNarney
     4  Boulevard.
     5     (b)  Signs.--The Department of Transportation shall erect and
     6  maintain appropriate signs to indicate the designation under
     7  subsection (a).
     8  Section 3.  Effective date.
     9     This act shall take effect in 60 days.
