AN ACT
1 Amending Title 18 (Crimes and Offenses) of the Pennsylvania
2 Consolidated Statutes, further providing for the offense of
3 false reports to law enforcement authorities.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Section 4906 of Title 18 of the Pennsylvania
7 Consolidated Statutes is amended by adding a subsection to read:
8 § 4906. False reports to law enforcement authorities.

10 (d) Definitions.--As used in this section, the following
11 words and phrases shall have the meanings given to them in this
12 subsection:
13 "Law enforcement authorities." The term includes, but is not
14 limited to, persons who are employed to provide child protective
15 services as defined under 23 Pa.C.S. § 6303(a) (relating to
16 definitions) while acting within the scope of their employment.
17 "Other incident." The term includes, but is not limited to,
1 child abuse as defined under 23 Pa.C.S. § 6303(b) (relating to
2 definitions).
3 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
