AN ACT
1 Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
2 Statutes, providing for a special license plate for
3 recipients of the Silver Star and, Bronze Star AND BRONZE <--
4 STAR FOR VALOR.
5 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
6 hereby enacts as follows:
7 Section 1. Title 75 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
8 Statutes is amended by adding sections to read:
9 § 1366. Special plates for recipients of Silver Star.
10 Upon application of any person who is a recipient of the
11 Silver Star, accompanied by a fee of $20 $10 which shall be in <--
12 addition to the annual registration fee and by such
13 documentation as the department shall require by regulation, the <--
14 department shall issue to the person a special registration
1 plate designating the vehicle so licensed as belonging to a
2 person who is a recipient of the Silver Star. The special
3 registration plate may be used only on one passenger vehicle or <--
4 one other vehicle A PASSENGER CAR OR TRUCK with a registered <--
5 gross weight of not more than 9,000 10,000 pounds. <--
6 § 1367. Special plates for recipients of Bronze Star.
7 Upon application of any person who is a recipient of the
8 Bronze Star, accompanied by a fee of $20 which shall be in
9 addition to the annual registration fee and by such
10 documentation as the department shall require by regulation, the <--
11 department shall issue to the person a special registration
12 plate designating the vehicle so licensed as belonging to a
13 person who is a recipient of the Bronze Star. The special
14 registration plate may be used only on one passenger vehicle or <--
15 one other vehicle A PASSENGER CAR OR TRUCK with a registered <--
16 gross weight of not more than 9,000 10,000 pounds. <--
17 § 1368. SPECIAL PLATES FOR RECIPIENT OF BRONZE STAR FOR VALOR. <--
18 UPON APPLICATION OF ANY PERSON WHO IS A RECIPIENT OF THE
19 BRONZE STAR FOR VALOR, ACCOMPANIED BY A FEE OF $10 WHICH SHALL
20 BE IN ADDITION TO THE ANNUAL REGISTRATION FEE AND BY SUCH
21 DOCUMENTATION AS THE DEPARTMENT SHALL REQUIRE, THE DEPARTMENT
22 SHALL ISSUE TO THE PERSON A SPECIAL REGISTRATION PLATE
23 DESIGNATING THE VEHICLE SO LICENSED AS BELONGING TO A PERSON WHO
24 IS A RECIPIENT OF THE BRONZE STAR FOR VALOR. THE SPECIAL
25 REGISTRATION PLATE MAY BE USED ONLY ON A PASSENGER CAR OR TRUCK
26 WITH A REGISTERED GROSS WEIGHT OF NOT MORE THAN 10,000 POUNDS.
27 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
