AN ACT
1 Amending Title 23 (Domestic Relations) of the Pennsylvania
2 Consolidated Statutes, further providing for information
3 relating to prospective child-care personnel.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Section 6344(h) of Title 23 of the Pennsylvania
7 Consolidated Statutes is amended to read:
8 § 6344. Information relating to prospective child-care
9 personnel.

11 (h) Fees.--The department may charge a fee not to exceed $10
12 in order to conduct the certification as required in subsection
13 (b)(2), except that no fee shall be charged to [an]:
14 (1) An individual who makes the request in order to
15 apply to become a volunteer with an affiliate of Big Brothers
16 of America or Big Sisters of America [or].
17 (2) An individual who makes the request in order to
18 become a volunteer with a rape crisis center or domestic
1 violence shelter.
2 (3) A representative of a nonprofit organization that
3 provides day-care services on behalf of a volunteer
4 applicant.
5 (4) A volunteer fire department.

7 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
