AN ACT 1 Amending the act of June 27, 2006 (1st Sp.Sess., P.L. , No.1), 2 entitled "An act providing for taxation by school districts, 3 for the State funds formula, for tax relief in first class 4 cities, for school district choice and voter participation, 5 for other school district options and for a task force on 6 school cost reduction; making an appropriation; prohibiting 7 prior authorized taxation; providing for installment payment 8 of taxes; restricting the power of certain school districts 9 to levy, assess and collect taxes; and making related 10 repeals," further defining "income." 11 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania 12 hereby enacts as follows: 13 Section 1. The definition of "income" in section 1303 of the 14 act of June 27, 2006 (1st Sp.Sess., P.L. , No.1), known as the 15 Taxpayer Relief Act, is amended by adding a paragraph to read: 16 Section 1303. Definitions. 17 The following words and phrases when used in this chapter 18 shall have the meanings given to them in this section unless the 19 context clearly indicates otherwise: 20 * * *
1 "Income." All income from whatever source derived, 2 including, but not limited to: 3 * * * 4 (3.1) All retirement benefits received prior to calendar 5 year 2006 by Federal retirees who due to the date of their 6 Federal employment are ineligible to collect benefits under 7 the Social Security Act and 50% of the retirement benefits 8 received after calendar year 2006 by Federal retirees who due 9 to the date of their Federal employment are ineligible to 10 receive benefits under the Social Security Act. 11 * * * 12 Section 2.
