AS AMENDED ON THIRD CONSIDERATION, IN SENATE, JULY 9, 2007
AN ACT 1 Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated 2 Statutes, further providing for reports and removal of 3 abandoned vehicles within the boundaries of a city of the 4 first class or second class; AND FURTHER PROVIDING FOR <-- 5 CONDITIONS OF PERMITS AND SECURITY FOR DAMAGES. 6 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania 7 hereby enacts as follows: 8 Section 1. Section 7304.1 heading of Title 75 of the <-- 9 Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes is amended and the section is 10 amended by adding a subsection to read: 11 SECTION 1. SECTION 4962(F.2) OF TITLE 75 OF THE PENNSYLVANIA <-- 12 CONSOLIDATED STATUTES IS AMENDED TO READ: 13 § 4962. CONDITIONS OF PERMITS AND SECURITY FOR DAMAGES. 14 * * * 15 (F.2) ONE PILOT CAR.--VEHICLES GREATER THAN 13 FEET BUT LESS 16 THAN 14 FEET IN BODY WIDTH, EVEN IF THE TOTAL LENGTH OF THE 17 VEHICLE OR COMBINATION, INCLUDING THE LOAD ON THE COMBINATION,
1 EXCEEDS 90 FEET BUT IS NOT IN EXCESS OF 120 FEET, SHALL ONLY BE 2 REQUIRED TO MAINTAIN ONE PILOT CAR. THE POSITION OF THE PILOT 3 CAR TO THE FRONT OR REAR OF THE PERMITTED VEHICLE MAY BE 4 DETERMINED BY THE DEPARTMENT. 5 * * * 6 SECTION 2. SECTION 7304.1 HEADING OF TITLE 75 IS AMENDED AND 7 THE SECTION IS AMENDED BY ADDING A SUBSECTION TO READ: 8 § 7304.1. Reports and removal of abandoned vehicles within the 9 boundaries of a city of the first class or second 10 class. 11 * * * 12 (c) Applicability.--This section shall apply only to 13 vehicles reported abandoned within the boundaries of a city of 14 the first class or a city of the second class. 15 Section 2 3.
