                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending Title 51 (Military Affairs) of the Pennsylvania
     2     Consolidated Statutes, providing for Homeland Security Force.

     3     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     4  hereby enacts as follows:
     5     Section 1.  Title 51 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
     6  Statutes is amended by adding a section to read:
     7  § 1109.  Homeland Security Force.
     8     The Pennsylvania National Guard shall include a permanent
     9  Homeland Security Force comprised of at least 1,000 members.
    10  Members of the Homeland Security Force shall be full-time,
    11  active duty members of the Pennsylvania National Guard and shall
    12  be specially trained to defend against and respond to terrorist
    13  threats or attacks within this Commonwealth.
    14     Section 2.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
