AN ACT
1 Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
2 Statutes, providing for student driver signs.
3 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
4 hereby enacts as follows:
5 Section 1. Title 75 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
6 Statutes is amended by adding a section to read:
7 § 4538. Student driver signs.
8 (a) General rule.--A vehicle that is operated by a student
9 driver shall display a sign of such size and lettering as the
10 department determines appropriate in order to alert other
11 motorists that the particular vehicle is being operated by a
12 student driver.
13 (b) Definition.--As used in this section, the term "student
14 driver" means a person with a valid learner's permit issued
15 under section 1505 (relating to learners' permits).
16 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
