AN ACT
1 Making an appropriation from the Health Endowment Account for
2 Long-Term Hope in the Tobacco Settlement Fund to provide for
3 expenses of the Tobacco Settlement Investment Board for the
4 fiscal year July 1, 2001, to June 30, 2002.
5 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
6 hereby enacts as follows:
7 Section 1. The sum of $93,000, or as much thereof as may be
8 necessary, is hereby appropriated from the Health Endowment
9 Account for Long-Term Hope in the Tobacco Settlement Fund to the
10 Tobacco Settlement Investment Board for the payment of all
11 salaries, wages and other compensation and travel expenses of
12 the employees and members of the Tobacco Settlement Investment
13 Board, for contractual services and other expenses necessary for
14 the proper conduct of the duties, functions and activities of
15 the board for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2001. NO FUNDS <--
16 APPROPRIATED FOR THE PURPOSE OF ADMINISTERING OR OPERATING THE
17 ADULT BASIC COVERAGE INSURANCE PROGRAM SHALL BE USED FOR ANY
18 OTHER PURPOSE EXCEPT FOR INVESTMENT PURPOSES OR TRANSFERRED TO
1 ANY OTHER FUND EXCEPT FOR THE PURPOSE OF ADMINISTERING OR
2 OPERATING THE ADULT BASIC COVERAGE INSURANCE PROGRAM.
3 SECTION 2. NO FUNDS APPROPRIATED UNDER THIS ACT SHALL BE <--
4 USED FOR ANY PURPOSE NOT AUTHORIZED UNDER THE ACT OF JUNE 26,
5 2001 (P.L.755, NO.77), KNOWN AS THE TOBACCO SETTLEMENT ACT.
6 Section 2 3. This act shall take effect immediately. <--
