A RESOLUTION
1 Designating the week of November 19 through 25, 2000, as "Family
2 Caregivers Week" in Pennsylvania.
3 WHEREAS, More and more of our citizens are living longer and
4 longer; and
5 WHEREAS, Many older citizens need care and assistance in
6 order to accomplish their daily living activities; and
7 WHEREAS, Many people are making great sacrifices in order to
8 care for their aged and infirm parents, relatives and friends;
9 and
10 WHEREAS, These caregivers are deserving of praise and
11 recognition for the invaluable services they provide to our
12 citizens who need care and assistance; therefore be it
13 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives designate the
14 week of November 19 through 25, 2000, as "Family Caregivers
1 Week" in Pennsylvania.
