A RESOLUTION
1 Discharging the Committee on Education from its duties under the
2 resolution directing it to study the effects of Act 36 of
3 1999 on vocational agriculture programs in school districts.
4 WHEREAS, On April 12, 2000, the House of Representatives
5 unanimously adopted a resolution, House Resolution 397, that
6 directs the Committee on Education to study the effects of Act
7 36 of 1999 on vocational agriculture programs in school
8 districts; and
9 WHEREAS, On May 3, 2000, the General Assembly passed
10 legislation, Senate Bill 652, that contains provisions to
11 address the concerns raised in that resolution; and
12 WHEREAS, As a result of the passage of Senate Bill 652, there
13 no longer remains a need for the Committee on Education to
14 discharge its duties under that resolution; therefore be it
15 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives discharge the
16 Committee on Education from its duties under the resolution
17 directing it to study the effects of Act 36 of 1999 on
18 vocational agriculture programs in school districts.
