AN ACT 1 Amending Title 34 (Game) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated 2 Statutes, authorizing and fixing fees for elk hunting 3 licenses. 4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania 5 hereby enacts as follows: 6 Section 1. Sections 2705 and 2709(a) of Title 34 of the 7 Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes are amended by adding 8 paragraphs to read: 9 § 2705. Classes of licenses. 10 Unless otherwise provided, any person wishing to exercise any 11 of the privileges granted by this title shall first secure the 12 applicable resident or nonresident hunting or furtaker license 13 as follows: 14 * * * 15 (15) Elk hunting license to persons eligible for classes 16 of licenses in paragraphs (1), (2), (3), (7), (7.1), (8), (9) 17 and (11.1). Notwithstanding any other provisions of this 18 title or the regulations promulgated thereunder, elk licenses
1 under this paragraph shall not be subject to the provisions 2 of §§ 2706 (relating to resident license and fee exemption) 3 and 2706.1 (relating to complimentary nonresident licenses). 4 To ensure sound management of Pennsylvania's wild elk 5 population, the Commission may promulgate regulations to 6 establish a limited number of licenses. The Commission may 7 establish a nonrefundable application fee at a cost of $10. 8 § 2709. License costs and fees. 9 (a) License costs.--Any person who qualifies under the 10 provisions of this chapter shall be issued the applicable 11 license upon payment of the following costs and the issuing 12 agent's fee: 13 * * * 14 (21) Elk hunting license: 15 (i) Resident - $25 16 (ii) Nonresident - $250 17 * * * 18 Section 2.
