AN ACT
1 Making an appropriation to the Franklin Institute Science Museum
2 FOR MAINTENANCE EXPENSES. <--
3 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
4 hereby enacts as follows:
5 Section 1. The sum of $662,000 is hereby appropriated to the
6 Franklin Institute Science Museum, Philadelphia, for the fiscal
7 year July 1, 2000, to June 30, 2001, for the maintenance of the
8 institute. No part of this appropriation shall be used in
9 support of the institute's research laboratories.
10 Section 2. Payments to the Franklin Institute Science Museum
11 on account of the appropriation provided in section 1 shall be
12 made quarterly by the Executive Director of the Pennsylvania
13 Historical and Museum Commission.
14 Section 3. The Franklin Institute Science Museum shall
15 provide full, complete and accurate information as may be
16 required by the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission or
1 the majority chairman or the minority chairman of the <--
2 Appropriations Committee of the Senate or the majority chairman <--
3 or the minority chairman of the Appropriations Committee of the
4 House of Representatives.
5 Section 4. This act shall take effect July 1, 2000, or
6 immediately, whichever is later.
