AN ACT 1 Authorizing the Adjutant General to provide financial assistance 2 for the construction of the National World War II Memorial in 3 the District of Columbia; and making an appropriation. 4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania 5 hereby enacts as follows: 6 Section 1. Short title. 7 This act shall be known and may be cited as the National 8 World War II Memorial Act. 9 Section 2. Duties of Adjutant General. 10 The Adjutant General of the Commonwealth shall determine the 11 number of residents of this Commonwealth who served in the Armed 12 Forces of the United States during World War II. For each such 13 resident, the Adjutant General shall pay, from the funds 14 appropriated under section 3, $1 to the American Battle 15 Monuments Commission for the purpose of constructing the
1 National World War II Memorial in the District of Columbia as 2 authorized by the act of May 25, 1993 (Public Law 103-32, 107 3 Stat. 90). 4 Section 3. Appropriation. 5 The sum of $1,500,000 is hereby appropriated to the 6 Department of Military and Veterans' Affairs for the purpose of 7 making payment to the American Battle Monuments Commission in 8 accordance with this act for fiscal year 1999-2000. 9 Section 4.
