AN ACT
1 Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
2 Statutes, providing for a registration plate for members of
3 AMVETS.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Title 75 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
7 Statutes is amended by adding a section to read:
8 § 1361. Special plates for members of AMVETS.
9 Upon application of any person who is a member of the
10 organization of American Veterans, known as AMVETS, accompanied
11 by a fee of $20 which shall be in addition to the annual
12 registration fee and by such documentation as the department
13 shall require, the department shall issue to the person a
14 special registration plate designating the vehicle so licensed
15 as belonging to a member of AMVETS. The special registration
16 plate may be used only on a passenger car or truck with a gross
17 vehicle weight rating of not more than 9,000 pounds.
1 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 120 days.
