AN ACT
1 Making appropriations to the Trustees of the Berean Training and
2 Industrial School at Philadelphia.
3 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
4 hereby enacts as follows:
5 Section 1. (a) The sum of $1,054,000 $1,254,000 is hereby <--
6 appropriated to the Trustees of the Berean Training and
7 Industrial School at Philadelphia for the fiscal year July 1,
8 1998, to June 30, 1999, for operation and maintenance of the
9 school.
10 (b) The sum of $98,000 is hereby appropriated to the
11 Trustees of the Berean Training and Industrial School for the
12 fiscal year July 1, 1998, to June 30, 1999, for payment of debt
13 services to the Commonwealth.
14 Section 2. Payments to the Berean Training and Industrial
15 School on account of the appropriations in section 1 shall be
16 made by the Secretary of Education in equal quarterly payments.
1 Section 3. The Berean Training and Industrial School shall
2 provide full, complete and accurate information as may be
3 required by the Department of Education or the majority chairman
4 or the minority chairman of the Appropriations Committee of the
5 Senate or the majority chairman or the minority chairman of the
6 Appropriations Committee of the House of Representatives.
7 Section 4. This act shall take effect July 1, 1998, or
8 immediately, whichever is later.
