A RESOLUTION 1 Congratulating the International Brotherhood of Electrical 2 Workers, Local Union No. 5, on the celebration of its 100th 3 anniversary. 4 WHEREAS, The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is always pleased 5 to recognize those organizations which contribute to the well- 6 being of their community and ultimately to all the people of 7 this State; and 8 WHEREAS, The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, 9 Local Union No. 5, is celebrating the momentous occasion of its 10 100th anniversary; and 11 WHEREAS, Since receiving its charter on February 25, 1897, 12 the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local Union 13 No.5, has made immeasurable contributions to the community
1 through its many special programs designed to enhance the 2 quality of life for all; and 3 WHEREAS, A succession of dedicated leaders and members have 4 faithfully upheld the union's noble goals and principles; and 5 WHEREAS, The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, 6 Local Union No.5, is a valuable asset to the people of this 7 Commonwealth and has earned recognition for its 100 years of 8 service; therefore be it 9 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives congratulate the 10 International Brotherhood of ELectrical Workers, Local Union No. 11 5, upon the joyous celebration of its 100th anniversary and 12 proudly acknowledge its immeasurable contributions to the 13 organized labor movement in this Commonwealth and throughout the 14 nation.
