           ZIMMERMAN, BELFANTI, ROSS, NICKOL, YOUNGBLOOD, FARGO,
           McNAUGHTON, STABACK, STERN, EGOLF, ROONEY, BENNINGHOFF,
           SEYFERT, THOMAS AND SCHRODER, FEBRUARY 11, 1998

                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending the act of May 22, 1895 (P.L.113, No.87), entitled "An
     2     act to provide for the making, acknowledging and recording of
     3     deeds, conveyances and contracts for the sale and conveyance
     4     of standing or growing timber or bark thereon, and defining
     5     the interest vested by such deeds, conveyances and contracts,
     6     and making valid the record of deeds, conveyances and
     7     contracts therefor," repealing the "grandfather clause."

     8     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     9  hereby enacts as follows:
    10     Section 1.  Section 3 of the act of May 22, 1895 (P.L.113,
    11  No.87), entitled "An act to provide for the making,
    12  acknowledging and recording of deeds, conveyances and contracts
    13  for the sale and conveyance of standing or growing timber or
    14  bark thereon, and defining the interest vested by such deeds,
    15  conveyances and contracts, and making valid the record of deeds,
    16  conveyances and contracts therefor," is repealed.
    17     Section 2.  This act shall take effect immediately.
