HOUSE BILL

                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending Title 18 (Crimes and Offenses) of the Pennsylvania
     2     Consolidated Statutes, prohibiting use of buildings designed
     3     to hinder or suppress law enforcement entry for certain
     4     purposes; and imposing a penalty.

     5     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     6  hereby enacts as follows:
     7     Section 1.  Title 18 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
     8  Statutes is amended by adding a section to read:
     9  § 5112.  Buildings designed to hinder or suppress law
    10             enforcement entry.
    11     (a)  Offense defined.--A person who uses a building, room,
    12  space or enclosure specifically designed to hinder or suppress
    13  entry by law enforcement officers in order to unlawfully
    14  manufacture, deliver, possess or furnish a controlled substance
    15  commits a felony of the third degree.
    16     (b)  Definition.--As used in this section, the term
    17  "controlled substance" means a substance included in Schedules I
    18  through V of section 4 of the act of April 14, 1972 (P.L.233,


     1  No.64), known as The Controlled Substance, Drug, Device and
     2  Cosmetic Act.
     3     Section 2.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
