AN ACT
1 Amending Title 42 (Judiciary and Judicial Procedure) of the
2 Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, further providing for
3 survival action.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Section 8302 of Title 42 of the Pennsylvania
7 Consolidated Statutes is amended to read:
8 § 8302. Survival action.
9 All causes of action or proceedings, real or personal, shall
10 survive the death of the plaintiff or of the defendant, or the
11 death of one or more joint plaintiffs or defendants. The
12 plaintiff in a survival action may recover damages for the
13 decedent's loss of the pleasures of life.
14 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
