           McGEEHAN, KENNEY, FLICK, BOSCOLA, SCHULER, THOMAS, BEBKO-
           JONES, DONATUCCI, NAILOR, SCHRODER, LYNCH, TRUE, CAPPABIANCA,
           MARSICO, COY, SANTONI, PESCI, SAYLOR, ROONEY, ZIMMERMAN,

        REFERRED TO COMMITTEE ON RULES, APRIL 10, 1996

                                  A RESOLUTION

     1  Congratulating the Lancaster Catholic High School Girls
     2     Basketball Team on winning the PIAA Class AAA State
     3     Basketball Championship.

     4     WHEREAS, The 1996 Lancaster Catholic Crusaders achieved a
     5  record of 29 wins and 3 losses; and
     6     WHEREAS, On March 23, 1996, the Lancaster Catholic Crusaders
     7  defeated three-time defending State Champions Pittsburgh North
     8  Catholic with a score of 68 to 49 to win the PIAA Class AAA
     9  State Basketball Championship; and
    10     WHEREAS, This outstanding win and record was accomplished
    11  through the efforts of the following players: Angela Baumler,
    12  Anita Charles, Marie Charles, Lisa Clark, Joan Culp, Catherine
    13  Darcus, Stephanie Drevna, Kerry Egan, Elizabeth Hayek, Kari
    14  Kubala, Shannon Killen, Stephanie Kuhn, Maureen Ward and Lisa
    15  Wertz; and
    16     WHEREAS, The spirit of cooperation and determination shown by

     1  the Lancaster Catholic High School Girls Basketball Team has
     2  been a credit to the school and this Commonwealth; therefore be
     3  it
     4     RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives honor and
     5  congratulate the 1996 Lancaster Catholic High School Girls
     6  Basketball Team and its coaches, Head Coach Lamar Kauffman and
     7  Assistant Coaches John Kauffman and Ron Kubala, on their
     8  achievements and on winning the PIAA Class AAA State Basketball
     9  Championship.
