NOVEMBER 18, 1996
AN ACT
1 Authorizing the release of Project 70 restrictions imposed on
2 certain lands owned by the Adams-Croyle Recreation Authority
3 and required for improvements to Croyle Township Road 352,
4 Cambria County, in return for the imposition of Project 70
5 restrictions on certain lands being conveyed to the Adams-
6 Croyle Recreation Authority; AND AUTHORIZING THE RELEASE OF <--
7 PROJECT 70 AND PROJECT 500 RESTRICTIONS ON CERTAIN LANDS
8 OWNED BY THE CITY OF PITTSBURGH, ALLEGHENY COUNTY, IN RETURN
9 FOR THE IMPOSITION OF PROJECT 70 AND PROJECT 500 RESTRICTIONS
10 ON CERTAIN LANDS TO BE CONVEYED TO THE CITY OF PITTSBURGH.
11 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
12 hereby enacts as follows:
13 Section 1. The lands described in section 2 are hereby
14 released from restrictions imposed under the provisions of the
15 act of June 22, 1964 (Sp.Sess., P.L.131, No.8), known as the
16 Project 70 Land Acquisition and Borrowing Act, in exchange for
17 the imposition of restrictions under the Project 70 Land
18 Acquisition and Borrowing Act on the lands described in section
19 3.
20 Section 2. The lands authorized to be released from
21 restrictions are more particularly described as follows:
1 AREA NO. 1
2 Beginning at a point on the westerly right-of-way line of
3 Township Road No. 352 and the northerly right-of-way line of the
4 Consolidated Rail Corporation approximately 500 feet north of
5 the intersection of State Route 869 and Township Road No. 352;
6 thence by the right-of-way line of the Consolidated Rail
7 Corporation by a curve with a radius to the right of 1402.69
8 feet an arc distance of 2.04 feet, having a chord distance of
9 2.04 feet at a bearing of north 77 degrees 58 minutes 12 seconds
10 west to a point; thence through the lands of which this is a
11 part by a curve to the left with a radius of 2794.97 feet an arc
12 distance of 177.22 feet, having a chord distance of 177.19 feet

14 conservation and historical purposes as defined in the
15 act of June 22, 1964 (Sp.Sess., P.L.131, No.8), known as
16 the Project 70 Land Acquisition and Borrowing Act.
17 SECTION 5. (A) THE LANDS DESCRIBED IN SUBSECTION (B) ARE <--

19 THE ACT OF JUNE 22, 1964 (SP.SESS., P.L.131, NO.8), KNOWN AS THE
20 PROJECT 70 LAND ACQUISITION AND BORROWING ACT, AND THE ACT OF
21 JANUARY 19, 1968 (1967 P.L.996, NO.443), KNOWN AS THE LAND AND
22 WATER CONSERVATION AND RECLAMATION ACT, IN EXCHANGE FOR THE
23 IMPOSITION OF RESTRICTIONS UNDER THE PROJECT 70 LAND ACQUISITION
24 AND BORROWING ACT AND THE LAND AND WATER CONSERVATION AND
25 RECLAMATION ACT ON THE LAND TO BE CONVEYED TO THE CITY OF
26 PITTSBURGH DESCRIBED IN SUBSECTION (C).
27 (B) THE PARCEL OF LAND AUTHORIZED TO BE RELEASED FROM
