AN ACT 1 Providing for Volunteer and Municipal Firefighters' and Police 2 Officers' Memorial Day as a legal holiday. 3 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania 4 hereby enacts as follows: 5 Section 1. Legal holiday. 6 Be it enacted that August 7, known as Volunteer and Municipal 7 Firefighters' and Police Officers' Memorial Day, shall be 8 observed by all firefighters and police officers as a legal 9 holiday. 10 Section 2. Personal day in lieu of scheduled observance. 11 Any volunteer, municipal firefighter and police officer who 12 is scheduled and obligated to work on August 7 shall be entitled
