        REFERRED TO COMMITTEE ON RULES, OCTOBER 4, 1993

                                  A RESOLUTION

     1  Directing the Speaker of the House of Representatives to make
     2     the Chamber of the House of Representatives available to the
     3     Senate.

     4     WHEREAS, The Chamber of the Senate is undergoing major
     5  renovation and is not in suitable condition for the conduct of
     6  legislative business for the immediately foreseeable future; and
     7     WHEREAS, It is in the vital interests of the people of this
     8  Commonwealth that the General Assembly be in a position to act
     9  on such pressing issues as health care reform, welfare reform
    10  and job creation at this time; therefore be it
    11     RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives direct the
    12  Speaker of the House of Representatives to make the Chamber of
    13  the House of Representatives available to the Senate for the
    14  conduct of its legislative business upon a written request
    15  signed by a majority of the members elected to the Senate when
    16  such use does not conflict with the schedule of the House of
    17  Representatives.
