A RESOLUTION
1 Condemning racial and gender discrimination by private clubs and
2 requesting that each private institution in this Commonwealth
3 reexamine its rules, procedures and operations to eliminate
4 discriminatory practices.
5 WHEREAS, Discrimination based on race or gender is an affront
6 to human dignity; and
7 WHEREAS, Discrimination by private organizations violates the
8 fundamental American value of judging people, all people, by the
9 content of their character; and
10 WHEREAS, Discrimination continues to be a societal scourge
11 that severs the common ties of humanity which bind all human
12 beings; therefore be it
13 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives condemn racial
14 and gender discrimination by private clubs; and be it further
15 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives request that each
16 private institution in this Commonwealth reexamine its rules,
1 procedures and operations to eliminate discriminatory practices.
