A RESOLUTION
1 Congratulating Jim Delligatti for inventing the Big Mac.
2 WHEREAS, Jim Delligatti of Fox Chapel, Pennsylvania, invented
3 the famous McDonald's sandwich known as the Big Mac in the
4 summer of 1967; and
5 WHEREAS, The Big Mac is the best-selling sandwich of
6 McDonald's; and
7 WHEREAS, May 4, 1993, is the 25th Anniversary of the
8 marketing of the Big Mac, with over 14,000,000,000 having been
9 sold; therefore be it
10 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives congratulate Jim
11 Delligatti for inventing the Big Mac, an American sandwich
12 classic; and be it further
13 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives rejoice in the
14 outstanding culinary and marketing accomplishment of a citizen
15 of this Commonwealth; and be it further
16 RESOLVED, That copies of this resolution be transmitted to
17 Jim Delligatti and to the headquarters of McDonald's.
