AN ACT 1 Making an appropriation to the Pennsylvania College of 2 Optometry, Philadelphia. 3 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania 4 hereby enacts as follows: 5 Section 1. The sum of $1,548,000 is hereby appropriated to 6 the Pennsylvania College of Optometry, Philadelphia, for the 7 fiscal year July 1, 1994, to June 30, 1995, for instruction. 8 Section 2. Payments to the Pennsylvania College of Optometry 9 on account of the appropriation provided in section 1 shall be 10 made quarterly by the Secretary of Education on the basis of 11 costs during the fiscal year. 12 Section 3. The Pennsylvania College of Optometry shall 13 provide full, complete and accurate information as may be 14 required by the Department of Education or the chairman or the 15 minority chairman of the Appropriations Committee of the Senate 16 or the chairman or the minority chairman of the Appropriations 17 Committee of the House of Representatives.
1 Section 4. The Pennsylvania College of Optometry shall 2 report its revenues and expenditures and present its financial 3 statements in accordance with generally accepted accounting 4 principles and procedures for educational institutions as set 5 forth in the "Higher Education Finance Manual (1975)" and the 6 "Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Budget Instructions for the State 7 System of Higher Education, State-Related Universities and Non- 8 State-Related Colleges and Universities." 9 Section 5. The trustees of the Pennsylvania College of 10 Optometry shall report on forms provided by the Department of 11 Education to both the chairman and minority chairman of the 12 Appropriations Committee of the Senate and the chairman and 13 minority chairman of the Appropriations Committee of the House 14 of Representatives by September 30, 1995, on how State- 15 appropriated funds were expended for fiscal year 1994-1995 to 16 reduce the costs to Pennsylvania resident students or to provide 17 services to Pennsylvania residents. 18 Section 6.
