AN ACT
1 Providing for the observance of October 14, William Penn's
2 birthday, of each year as Pennsylvania Flag Day.
3 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
4 hereby enacts as follows:
5 Section 1. The Governor shall issue, annually, his
6 proclamation designating and setting apart October 14 as
7 Pennsylvania Flag Day and shall call upon the people of this
8 Commonwealth, the public schools, educational institutions and
9 historical organizations to observe the founding of the
10 Commonwealth by paying tribute to Pennsylvania's flag with
11 appropriate exercises and programs.
12 Section 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
