                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
     2     Statutes, further providing for suspension of operating
     3     privileges.

     4     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     5  hereby enacts as follows:
     6     Section 1.  Section 1532 of Title 75 of the Pennsylvania
     7  Consolidated Statutes is amended by adding a subsection to read:
     8  § 1532.  Revocation or suspension of operating privilege.
     9     * * *
    10     (c)  Other revocation.--The department shall revoke the
    11  operating privilege of any driver upon receiving a certified
    12  record of the driver's adjudication of delinquency or admission
    13  to any preadjudication program based on a violation of any of
    14  the following:
    15         (1)  18 Pa.C.S. § 3301 (relating to arson and related
    16     offenses), if the property involved was a vehicle.
    17         (2)  18 Pa.C.S. § 3304 (relating to criminal mischief),


     1     if the property involved was a vehicle.
     2         (3)  18 Pa.C.S. § 3921 (relating to theft by unlawful
     3     taking or disposition), if the subject of theft was a
     4     vehicle.
     5         (4)  18 Pa.C.S. § 3928 (relating to unauthorized use of
     6     automobiles and other vehicles).
     7  For a first offense of 18 Pa.C.S. § 3301, 3304, 3921 or 3928,
     8  the duration of the revocation shall be a period of one year
     9  from the date of revocation. For a second or subsequent offense
    10  of 18 Pa.C.S. § 3301, 3304, 3921 or 3928, the duration of the
    11  revocation shall be a period of two years from the date of
    12  revocation. The use of a preadjudication disposition shall be
    13  considered a first or subsequent offense, whichever is
    14  applicable, for the purposes of this subsection.
    15     Section 2.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
