                                     AN ACT

     1  Authorizing and directing the Department of General Services,
     2     with the approval of the Governor, to grant and convey land
     3     situate in the City of Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, to the
     4     Urban Redevelopment Authority of the City of Pittsburgh.

     5     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     6  hereby enacts as follows:
     7     Section 1.  The Department of General Services, with the
     8  approval of the Governor, is hereby authorized and directed on
     9  behalf of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to grant and convey,
    10  for a consideration of one half of the fair market value as
    11  determined by an independent appraisal to the Urban
    12  Redevelopment Authority of the City of Pittsburgh the following
    13  described tracts of land situate in the City of Pittsburgh,
    14  Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, bounded and described as
    15  follows:
    16                            Tract No. 1
    17     Beginning at the southwesterly corner of East General
    18  Robinson Street and Grantham Street; running thence westwardly


     1  along East General Robinson Street 30.27 feet to the point of
     2  beginning; thence continuing westwardly 59.65 feet, more or
     3  less, to a point on line of property now or formerly of J.A.
     4  Spence; thence southwardly 94 feet to a point to the northwest
     5  corner of land now or formerly of J.F. Entress; thence by line
     6  of property now or formerly of J.F. Entress and of J.W. Kinnear,
     7  eastwardly along the northerly line of Entress property 44.10
     8  feet, more or less, to a point at the easterly line of property
     9  of Entress; thence southwardly 100 feet, more or less, along
    10  said easterly line of Entress property, to the northerly line of
    11  River Avenue; thence eastwardly along the northerly line of
    12  River Avenue 48.1 feet, more or less, to the northwesterly
    13  corner of River Avenue and Grantham Street; thence northwardly
    14  along the westerly side of Grantham Street 167 feet, more or
    15  less, to the right-of-way for River Avenue Connection; thence
    16  along the right-of-way as constructed northwestwardly 12.00
    17  feet, more or less, to a point of curve as located on said
    18  right-of-way; thence by a curve deflecting to the left with an
    19  arc length of 28.22 feet, more or less, and a radius of 138.00
    20  feet to the place of beginning.
    21     Containing 12,726 square feet, more or less.
    22                            Tract No. 2
    23     Beginning at the northeast corner of River Avenue and
    24  Grantham Street; thence north 15 degrees 10 minutes west 94.00
    25  feet along Grantham Street to the place of beginning at the
    26  corner of Lot 84 in the Sylvanus Lothrop Plan of Lots, in Deed
    27  Book, Volume 46, page 544; thence continuing along Grantham
    28  Street north 15 degrees 10 minutes west, 28.77 feet to the
    29  right-of-way line of River Avenue Connection; thence by such
    30  right-of-way south 65 degrees 48 minutes east 25.87 feet to a

     1  point; thence south 15 degrees 10 minutes east 12.36 feet;
     2  thence south 74 degrees 50 minutes west 20.00 feet to the place
     3  of beginning.
     4     Containing an area of 411 square feet, more or less.
     5     Being part of Lot 84 in the said Sylvanus Lothrop Plan of
     6  Lots.
     7                            Tract No. 3
     8     Beginning at the northeast corner of River Avenue and
     9  Grantham Street; thence along Grantham Street north 15 degrees
    10  10 minutes west 94.00 feet to the corner of Lot 84 in the
    11  Sylvanus Lothrop Plan recorded in Deed Book Volume 46, page 544;
    12  thence along the southerly line of said Lot 84, north 74 degrees
    13  50 minutes east 20.00 feet; thence by a line parallel to
    14  Grantham Street, north 15 degrees 10 minutes west 12.36 feet to
    15  the right-of-way line of River Avenue Connection as now
    16  constructed; thence by such right-of-way line south 65 degrees
    17  48 minutes east 98.77 feet to a point of curve in said right-of-
    18  way; thence by a curve deflecting to the left with a radius of
    19  185.00 feet and an arc length of 4.72 feet to Bronco Way; thence
    20  along Bronco Way south 14 degrees 47 minutes 03 seconds east
    21  19.82 feet to River Avenue; thence along River Avenue south 62
    22  degrees 56 minutes 37 seconds west 102.19 feet to the place of
    23  beginning.
    24     Containing an area of 6,712 square feet, more or less.
    25                            Tract No. 4
    26     Beginning at the northeast corner of River Avenue and Bronco
    27  Way; thence along Bronco Way north 12 degrees 39 minutes 15
    28  seconds west 12.00 feet to the right-of-way line of River Avenue
    29  Connection; thence by a curve deflecting to the left with a
    30  radius of 185.00 feet and an arc length of 16.75 feet to a point

     1  on the right-of-way line of River Avenue; thence south 65
     2  degrees 04 minutes 25 seconds west 14.50 feet to the place of
     3  beginning.
     4     Containing an area of 84 square feet, more or less.
     5     Section 2.  The conveyance shall be made under and subject to
     6  all easements, servitudes and rights of others, including, but
     7  not confined to, streets, roadways and rights of any telephone,
     8  telegraph, water, electric, sewer, gas or pipeline companies, as
     9  well as under and subject to any interest, estates or tenancies
    10  vested in third persons, whether or not appearing of record, for
    11  any portion of the land or improvements erected thereon.
    12     Section 3.  The deed of conveyance shall be approved as
    13  provided by law and shall be executed by the Secretary of
    14  General Services in the name of the Commonwealth of
    15  Pennsylvania.
    16     Section 4.  Costs and fees incidental to this conveyance
    17  shall be borne by the grantee.
    18     Section 5.  This act shall take effect immediately.
