AN ACT
1 Making an appropriation to the Johnson Technical Institute of
2 Scranton.
3 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
4 hereby enacts as follows:
5 Section 1. The sum of $157,000 is hereby appropriated to the
6 Johnson Technical Institute of Scranton for the fiscal year July
7 1, 1991, to June 30, 1992, for operation and maintenance of the
8 school. The final payment totaling no less than 25% of this
9 appropriation is contingent on the Secretary of Education
10 certifying to the General Assembly that the Johnson Technical
11 Institute has fully cooperated in the Department of Education's
12 efforts to fulfill the requirements of the higher education
13 accountability appropriation to the Department of Education.
14 Section 2. Payments to the Johnson Technical Institute on
15 account of the appropriation provided in section 1 shall be made
16 by the Secretary of Education in equal quarterly payments.
17 Section 3. The Johnson Technical Institute shall provide
1 full, complete and accurate information as may be required by
2 the Department of Education or the Majority Chairman or the
3 Minority Chairman of the Appropriations Committee of the Senate
4 or the Majority Chairman or the Minority Chairman of the
5 Appropriations Committee of the House of Representatives.
6 Section 4. This act shall take effect July 1, 1991, or
7 immediately, whichever is later.
