AN ACT
1 Making appropriations to the Downingtown Industrial and
2 Agricultural School, Downingtown.
3 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
4 hereby enacts as follows:
5 Section 1. The sum of $727,000 $969,000 is hereby <--
6 appropriated to the Downingtown Industrial and Agricultural
7 School, Downingtown, for the fiscal year July 1, 1991, to June
8 30, 1992, for operation and maintenance of the school. The final <--
9 payment totaling no less than 25% of this appropriation is
10 contingent on the Secretary of Education certifying to the
11 General Assembly that the Downingtown Industrial and
12 Agricultural School has fully cooperated in the Department of
13 Education's efforts to fulfill the requirements of the higher
14 education accountability appropriation to the Department of
15 Education.
16 Section 2. The sum of $61,000 $81,000 is hereby appropriated <--
17 to the Downingtown Industrial and Agricultural School for
1 payment of debts incurred prior to July 1, 1984.
2 Section 3. The sum of $41,000 $54,000 is hereby appropriated <--
3 to the Downingtown Industrial and Agricultural School for
4 special projects.
5 Section 4. Payments to the Downingtown Industrial and
6 Agricultural School on account of the appropriation provided in
7 section 1 shall be made by the Secretary of Education in equal
8 quarterly payments.
9 Section 5. The Downingtown Industrial and Agricultural
10 School shall provide full, complete and accurate information as
11 may be required by the Department of Education or the Majority
12 Chairman or the Minority Chairman of the Appropriations
13 Committee of the Senate or the Majority Chairman or the Minority
14 Chairman of the Appropriations Committee of the House of
15 Representatives.
16 Section 6. This act shall take effect July 1, 1991, or
17 immediately, whichever is later.
