AN ACT
1 Making appropriations to the Downingtown Industrial and
2 Agricultural School, Downingtown.
3 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
4 hereby enacts as follows:
5 Section 1. The sum of $727,000 is hereby appropriated to the
6 Downingtown Industrial and Agricultural School, Downingtown, for
7 the fiscal year July 1, 1991, to June 30, 1992, for operation
8 and maintenance of the school. The final payment totaling no
9 less than 25% of this appropriation is contingent on the
10 Secretary of Education certifying to the General Assembly that
11 the Downingtown Industrial and Agricultural School has fully
12 cooperated in the Department of Education's efforts to fulfill
13 the requirements of the higher education accountability
14 appropriation to the Department of Education.
15 Section 2. The sum of $61,000 is hereby appropriated to the
16 Downingtown Industrial and Agricultural School for payment of
17 debts incurred prior to July 1, 1984.
1 Section 3. The sum of $41,000 is hereby appropriated to the
2 Downingtown Industrial and Agricultural School for special
3 projects.
4 Section 4. Payments to the Downingtown Industrial and
5 Agricultural School on account of the appropriation provided in
6 section 1 shall be made by the Secretary of Education in equal
7 quarterly payments.
8 Section 5. The Downingtown Industrial and Agricultural
9 School shall provide full, complete and accurate information as
10 may be required by the Department of Education or the Majority
11 Chairman or the Minority Chairman of the Appropriations
12 Committee of the Senate or the Majority Chairman or the Minority
13 Chairman of the Appropriations Committee of the House of
14 Representatives.
15 Section 6. This act shall take effect July 1, 1991, or
16 immediately, whichever is later.
