AN ACT 1 Making appropriations to The Medical College of Pennsylvania, 2 East Falls, Philadelphia. 3 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania 4 hereby enacts as follows: 5 Section 1. The sum of $2,650,000 $3,533,000 is hereby <-- 6 appropriated to The Medical College of Pennsylvania located in 7 East Falls, Philadelphia, for the fiscal year July 1, 1991, to 8 June 30, 1992, for instruction in the Doctor of Medicine 9 program. The final payment totaling no less than 25% of this <-- 10 appropriation is contingent on the Secretary of Education 11 certifying to the General Assembly that The Medical College of 12 Pennsylvania has fully cooperated in the Department of 13 Education's efforts to fulfill the requirements of the higher 14 education accountability appropriation to the Department of 15 Education. 16 Section 2. The sum of $734,000 $979,000 is hereby <-- 17 appropriated to The Medical College of Pennsylvania,
1 Philadelphia, for the fiscal year July 1, 1991, to June 30, 2 1992, for the general maintenance of The Medical College of 3 Pennsylvania, including the School of Allied Health, and student 4 aid. 5 Section 3. Payments to The Medical College of Pennsylvania 6 on account of the appropriations provided in sections 1 and 2 7 shall be made quarterly by the Secretary of Education on the 8 basis of costs during the fiscal year. 9 Section 4. The Medical College of Pennsylvania shall provide 10 full, complete and accurate information as may be required by 11 the Department of Education or the Majority Chairman or the 12 Minority Chairman of the Appropriations Committee of the Senate 13 or the Majority Chairman or the Minority Chairman of the 14 Appropriations Committee of the House of Representatives. 15 Section 5. The Medical College of Pennsylvania shall report 16 its revenues and expenditures and present its financial 17 statements in accordance with generally accepted accounting 18 principles and procedures for educational institutions as set 19 forth in the "Higher Education Finance Manual (1975)" and the 20 "Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Budget Instructions for the State 21 System of Higher Education, State-Related Universities and Non- 22 State-Related Colleges and Universities." 23 Section 6.
