                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending the act of June 18, 1982 (P.L.547, No.158), entitled
     2     "An act establishing the fees to be charged and collected by
     3     the clerk of courts in second, second class A, third, fourth,
     4     fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth class counties and home rule
     5     counties," providing for establishment of fees by the clerk
     6     of courts; and making an editorial change.

     7     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     8  hereby enacts as follows:
     9     Section 1.  The title of the act of June 18, 1982 (P.L.547,
    10  No.158), referred to as the Clerk of Courts Fee Law, is amended
    11  to read:
    12                               AN ACT
    13  Establishing the fees to be charged and collected by the clerk
    14     of courts in second, [second class A,] third, fourth, fifth,
    15     sixth, seventh and eighth class counties and home rule
    16     counties.
    17     Section 2.  Section 1 of the act is repealed.
    18     Section 3.  The act is amended by adding a section to read:
    19     Section 1.1.  In counties of the second, third, fourth,


     1  fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth class, the clerk of courts or
     2  equivalent officer in home rule counties may establish,
     3  increase, decrease, modify or eliminate fees and charges with
     4  the approval of the President Judge within 60 days of the
     5  effective date of this section. Thereafter, such fees and
     6  charges shall not be established, increased, decreased, modified
     7  or eliminated except by an act of the General Assembly.
     8     Section 4.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
