                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending the act of October 5, 1978 (P.L.1109, No.261), entitled
     2     "An act requiring the licensing of practitioners of
     3     osteopathic medicine and surgery; regulating their practice;
     4     providing for certain funds and penalties for violations and
     5     repeals," providing for the assessment of fees from
     6     applicants and licensees for the Rural Medical Student
     7     Scholarship and Physician Loan Repayment Fund.

     8     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     9  hereby enacts as follows:
    10     Section 1.  The act of October 5, 1978 (P.L.1109, No.261),
    11  known as the Osteopathic Medical Practice Act, is amended by
    12  adding a section to read:
    13  Section 10.1.  Additional fee assessment.
    14     (a)  Each applicant for licensure and each biennial
    15  registrant shall be assessed the sum of $20 in addition to any
    16  other reasonable fees set by the board.
    17     (b)  The board shall forward the fees collected under the
    18  provisions of this section to the Rural Medical Student


     1  Scholarship and Physician Loan Repayment Fund in the
     2  Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency.
     3     Section 2.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
